Personal Training Barking, East London
This isn’t a generic workout plan handed over at the start of a six-week programme. It’s personal training that begins with understanding you — your goals, your history, your mindset — and builds from there. Every session is tailored, every week moves you forward, and you’re never doing it alone.
Who personal training in Barking is for
You want a coach who gives you her full attention and actually gets to know you. You’ve tried group classes or generic programmes and found they don’t account for your life. You want to lose weight, build confidence, or simply feel stronger — but you’ve struggled to make it stick on your own.
Whether you’re returning to exercise after years away, managing an injury, or simply need the structure and accountability of knowing someone is expecting you — this is built for you.
Benefits
Why personal training at Mind Body Coaching works differently
Your plan, not a template
Before anything else, Sharon takes the time to understand you — your goals, your training history, your schedule, and your mindset. Your programme is built from scratch and updated as you progress. Nothing is recycled, nothing is guesswork.
Mind and body, not just the physical
Every programme begins with a psychometric assessment to understand your behavioural readiness for change. Sharon works on the habits, thinking patterns, and self-belief that determine whether change lasts — not just the physical sessions.
Accountability built around your life
You don’t need more willpower. You need a coach who’s expecting you, a session that’s booked, and a plan that keeps moving even when life gets busy. That structure is what makes this stick when everything else hasn’t.
What a personal training session looks like…
Every session is structured to make the most of your time — no filler, no standing around.
Check-in
A quick conversation about how you’re feeling — energy, sleep, stress, anything going on. Sharon uses this to adjust the session to where you are that day, not just what’s written in the plan.
Warm-up
Mobility and activation work specific to your body and the movements ahead. Purposeful, not generic.
Main training block
Strength, conditioning, or a combination — based on your programme and your progress. Sharon is with you throughout, coaching your form, managing load, and making sure every rep counts.
Cool-down and next steps
Recovery work followed by a brief outline of what to focus on before your next session — whether that’s movement, sleep, nutrition, or mindset.
Duration:
Sessions are 60 minutes. Most clients train 1–2 times per week and see consistent, sustainable progress. Sharon will recommend the right frequency during your free consultation.
Personal training in Barking FAQs
Is personal training right for beginners?
Absolutely — it’s one of the best places to start. You get Sharon’s full attention, learn at your own pace, and build confidence in a completely private, non-intimidating environment. There’s no baseline you need to reach first.
What if I've tried personal training before and it didn't work?
This is one of the most common things Sharon hears. Most programmes only address the physical side. Sharon works on the mindset and behaviours behind your habits too — which is usually what’s been missing.
How often should I train?
Most clients start with 1–2 sessions per week and see real results. During your free consultation Sharon will recommend a frequency that fits your goals, schedule, and budget.
Can you work around injuries or health conditions?
Yes. Sharon has over 20 years of experience working with women managing injuries, joint issues, and health conditions. Your programme will be adapted so you can train confidently and safely from day one.
Where is the studio?
Sharon’s private home studio is at 475 Ripple Road, Barking, IG11 9QZ. Easily accessible from Upney Underground Station, East Ham, Ilford, and Dagenham. A quiet, comfortable space — nothing like a commercial gym.
